Fantastic place, friendly, full of character. The bar is well worth hanging out in, and the private rooms are airy and quirky, with nicely unpredictable furniture. Forget the shiny city centre hotels - Mleczarnia is a welcome oasis of charm and eccentricity. Will definitely be back! | |

Mleczarnia is a lovely place to stay. It is quiet, atmospheric, with lovely staff and a good location. There is a spacious lounge with free tea and coffee and internet access. I stayed in the girls dorm, which is room 6. The good news is that it although it was meant to have 8 people, I was for 3 nights of my stay completely alone - I gather that during the weekdays, it is often empty and you can be lucky to have a huge room all to yourself. The bad news is that the room is directly above the cafe below. On the weekends, and even on the weekdays, there is a lot of noise until the early hours and I found it hard to sleep. As a customer in the cafe, I loved it - great hot chocolate, cheap sandwiches, wonderful ambience. But once I got upstairs, I wished it wasn't there. The guest rooms - that is the more expensive private rooms - are on the second floor, so completely out of the way of nighttime revelry, and if you can push the boat out, I would suggest staying there. I would, however, certainly recommend the place, as it has a thoroughly charming atmosphere, but I would also recommend you take your earplugs. |
